oscommerce - meta description in which file?

I hope I'm in the right forum here. I want to add my meta description, keywords and logo alt tag to my oscommerce store.

I am not sure which file to put them in. I think maybe index.php, default.php> Does anyone know where I put these few lines of code, please. thanks

If you didn't add one of the template add-ons, they are in every file in the catalog folder.

there's an osC support forum (not here but on the osC hompage).
That might be the best choice for osC related questions

What you should do is install one of the meta tag contributions -- those will allow you to put better title tags on each individual product or category page.

I also edited one to include a paragraph of keyword rich text on category pages (rather than just the list of products) to aid in SEO.

Yea, Linda's Header Tag controller is a good contribution. You only need to change the tags in includes/language/english/header_tags.php
