http://www.istockphoto.com/ is an open community where you can get photos for cheap, but there aren't that many great ones. It's good for those who don't have big budgets.
http://www.comstock.com/ is a more professional one.... good selection, i find. More expensive though.

thanx.... will check both out![]()

www.istockphoto.com is the GREATEST stock website on the web (all around great, great selection, prices, features, layout, etc.)

the pics are definitely great , in quality .... but if someone tries to upload somethng - a 6 MB upload is a bit too much no ?
While iStock is great and all, that's still a huge exaggaration. iStock leaves a lot to be desired in comparison to bigger stocksites, like Getty Images.Originally Posted by Shawn Weeks

I like istock and TastyStock, among a few others. I've found the above two to be the least expensive though.

My favorite one (free though) is Stock Exchange ... really great photos there (pretty hi-res, also)...

Take a look here for a fairly comprehensive list of Stock Photo sites (many of which are free!).

thanx guys , now i will look over all the sites ..., but I was wondering wether any of you bough anythng like CD's from any of these sites ? do they sell and ship international ? I may not want to waste lots of time , if it can be avoided .

I've bought both collections on CD and individual images from EyeWire and Photoshop in the past - both of these collections have now become part of Getty Images. They're not cheap, but the quality and choice of images (even Royalty Free) is often in a different league to the free/cheap options.
oh yes, and they serve international customers.
