    Is it possible to create an asp template in which you can call a database of urls. and in doing so, display that url in the address bar. Basically what i'm after is to create client specific pages. each page would be http://www.whatever.com/fname.lname. I already know how to pull the data and display the information using asp. but how do i display the full url with the person's name, in the address bar?

    Do not know much ASP but the logic is the same? in PHP I would grab the url from the DB and then set a redirect header with the relevant info, ie if $urlvar contains the url pulled from the DB , modify it as needed and then set the header <? header("Location: $urlvar");?> you just have to make sure that this is done at the top of your page before any output is written to the page.
    You could even write a javascript redirect

    echo "<script>window.location = \"$urlvar?name=joe\"</script>";
