    Header Image (please help)

    Ok, I guess from my last post I learned that you can use an image in the header. I've been trying but it dosent work. Can someone tell me how to include a image in the <head> </head> section of the webpage that stretches all the way across the page, and maybe a few pexils high? I try but I keep getting huge white gaps between the top and left and right borders of the browser... I just did

    <head>
    <title>Blah Blah</title>
    <img src="top.gif">
    </head>

    but there is HUGE gaps it dosent even look right... thanks.

    It looks like sitepoint has a nice header picture too, the orange banner fits nice and tight in the edges of the browser, so it looks like a read site, mine has big white gaps around each edge of the image.

    You don't include stuff until it is in the body tag. This will get you started.

    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Blah Blah</title>
    <style>
    body {
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    }
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <img src="top.gif">
    </body>
    </html>

    you need to set your page margin/border properties to "0" (no border) so your page elements will "touch" the top/bottom/sides of the page and not have the default spacing (which is either 3 or 5 pixels).

    You also have to set padding to 0 pixels in order for Opera to render the header images the way you want them.
