    Question Here's the deal..

    Hi ppl..

I have looked at many freebie menu's either wrote in dhtml and javascript. The majority of them are very good, but the site I am working on uses frames, and the menu's I have tried won't overlap the frame if the menu is to wide.

I have checked site's such as cross-browser, Brain-Jar, dhtmlcentral.com and dynamicdrive.com which are all very good, but don't overlap the frame.

Would it be better to try for an ActiveX control? If so, are there any freely available? Is there any better options to go for?

    Thanks for your help!
    Rich

Unfortunately, this is about as easy (and possible) to do as milk a bull. ActiveX might get you something, but it's probably too slow to be practical.

The only option you would have is to use an ugly <select> menu (or better yet: abandon frames. They're rarely good for anything)

Is there a good reason you're using frames? There are sometimes good reasons, but generally the bad points outweight the good.

Maybe revisit your layout, ditch the frames, and save yourslef a real headache!

Frame's are a must in this particular site tho

I have sorted something from http://www.dynamicdrive.com which works very well in frames.

    Thanks anyways!
