    Almost pure css menu

I'd like to use something like Eric Meyers pure css menus - http://www.meyerweb.com/eric/css/edge/menus/demo.html - but a solution which works in IE so therefore probably need some javascript. Can anyone give me a simple example which uses proper markup, that is unordered lists and no absolute positioning?

So you want a pop-out menu if I'm reading you right? Or just a basic menu?

If just a basic menu, you can use list-o-matic.

Otherwise, you might be able to modify the menu code at http://www.cross-browser.com and get what you need. Dunno.

Yeah a pop out/drop down horiztonal menu. I had a look at cross-browser.com but the only one I could find used absolute position and css to create the parent items. In my case my menu is a horizontal one with text graphics for links.

Is this a different menu than the one you're asking for in this thread? http://www.sitepointforums.com/showt...hreadid=133190

Did you try dhtmlcentral.com? There are a boatload of menu code snippets over there. Not css, but since IE doesn't support some of the CSS2 requirements, I don't think you'll have much other choice...
