Do anti-CSS people have a point?

I am just refering to the author of this quite ridiculous article, i wouldn't bother writing him. (even tho it tickles in the fingers really bad)

oh ok, misunderstood what you meant.

yes, we wouldn't want to submit Vinnie (or anyone else) to any abuse.

Yes, but isn't evangelism what its about? What happens if someone as skilled as Vinnie doesn't respond? Is the guy going to go on thinking he's right? And if enough people tell him he's wrong he may start to change.

He's just an ordinary guy with a misguided mission, that's all. He's still human. And as such not worthy of being ignored or refuted.

I seriously doubt that. This is all supposition on my part, but I can be pretty insightful in some situations. His objection to CSS has very little to do with CSS itself. It's very personal for him. It's obvious to me (and I'm not a CSS guru by any stretch of the imagination) that he doesn't know CSS. He clearly takes any dissention as a personal attack. And because he's identified himself so much with this stance, he's not going to be in a position to listen or even attempt to comprehend anything anyone has to say. I see this all the time on the job (the part that has nothing to do with webdesign), and it's almost impossible to overcome.

I have never considered myself an expert web design, but this guy is off his rocker. Is he really worth all of our time to even consider the !£"$ coming out of his mouth.

He seems to be trying convince himself that CSS sucks, rather than anyone else.

Denial is marvellous thing to watch !!
