    broken layout in Opera/IE and wrong colors in Netscape

    I've been fooling around with Doug's 3cols2 layout. And for some reason when I inserted a menu, it pushed all the text in the other columns down in opera and IE. But in netscape the layout is ok, but the colors for the three columns is wrong. It uses the background color. Any help explaining where I went wrong here would be appreciated. You can see the page here.

    thanks in advance for the help.

    I'm running short on time, so I've only glimpsed at this quickly, but I think you've got too many divs in there.

    You've got your first column in an outer AND an inner div all by themselves. The inner div has a width of 100% which is why everything else is dropped down.

    I think you probably want your HTML to look something like this

    Code:
    <div class="outer">
     <div class="inner">
      <div class="left">
       <!-- Left content goes here -->
      </div>
      <div class="center">
       <!-- Center Content goes here -->
      </div>
      <div class="right">
       <!-- Right content goes here -->
      </div>
     </div>
    </div>

    Aha! That was it, I had two incorrect div's going. the one below "wide" and the extra closing div after the left. Thanks for spotting it. It's always these little things that do me in
