    ok, i posted a while back on CSS techniques but i need more help from yall.

    heres what i use:
    [pre]
    body
    { background-color:#FFFFFF;
    color:#000080;}
    td
    { background-color:#000080;
    color:#FFFFFF;}
    a.visited
    { background-color:#000080;
    color:#FFFFFF;}
    a.link
    { background-color:#000080;
    color:#FFFFFF;}
    a.active
    { background-color:#000080;
    color:#FFFFFF;}
    a.hover
    { background-color:#000080;
    color:#FFFFFF;}
    [/pre]

    ok, so far? but sometimes i like to use tables for my navigation. my question is this: what can i do so that my table text links are not the same color as my table bgcolor?

    Well, specify a table tag =)
    table { color: #000000; background-color: #FFFFFF; }

    I dont know exactly what you are asking but, all you have to do is change the color: part of the css in a. styles. From the #FFFFFF(white) to anything other than the same color as toy td styles.

    And if you want to have the text behind the background not change color you dont have to specify the background-color: style attribute.

    i.e.

    a.hover{color: black;}

    If this is not the information you required please post a description of what you want to do.

    A note about specifying a table style. Netscape navigator will not take that as being a format for text inside of a table cell.

    Hmm...For LINKS
    Do this:

    a.nav:active { color: #FFFFFF; }
    a.nav:link { color: #FFFFFF; }
    a.nav:hover { color: #FFFFFF; }
    a.nav:visited { color: #FFFFFF; }

    then in the <a> tags,
    do this:

    <a class="nav" href="$link">Text Link</a>

    Got it?
