    padding and CSS in NS4x

    My site is www.thevoiceworkshop.com and the style sheet is for NS4x is www.thevoiceworkshop.com/VWSmasterNS.css and my problem is trying to make it look as good in NS4x as IE, NS7 and Opera. The problem is naturally NS4x. The content is in a cell, td.main and I can't seem to put any padding so that it doesn't go the very edge of the cell. I tried
    td.main{
    padding: 20px;
    }
    in both the long and shorthand versions of padding but nothing seems to have any effect. Any suggestions???

    BTY, I know that few people use NS4x but having gotten almost to where I want it, I am reluctant to give up now.

    Many thanks

    Jerry

    Hi Jerry,
    Add this to your VWSmasterNS.css:

    Code:
    td.main p, td.main h4 {
    	padding-left: 20px;
    }

    td.main {
    	padding-top: 20px;
    }
    And comment out the padding from your VWSmaster1.css here:

    Code:
    td.main{
        background-color: #ffe6cc;
        font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
        font-size: .9em;
        /*padding: 2.5em; */
    }
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Amber,
    Actually what finally worked was to wrap the contents of the cell in a division <div class= content> and then style that with:
    .content{
    padding: 2.5em:
    }
    That seem to work very well except for the testimonial page www.thevoiceworkshop.com/testimonials.html for NS4x where I am using blockquotes. It works o.k. in IE.
