Plesk (http://www.plesk.com) is a user GUI interface that will do just about everything you need to do on a *nix server without the need to know command line code.
Basically it's like having a webinterface for your dedicated or colocated box. They are great becuase they let you have the joys of a Cobalt (http://www.cobalt.com) interface but without the hangup's of something be so deeply intergrated into the OS.
Plesk when installed will even set-up and configure your server and get you running.
In a word it's awesome, in another word it's **** expensive!

Well, plesk is honey-roasted goodness for sure - no argueing about that!
You have VDI's control panels (used by Ultraspeed, Burst, others) which are really sweet. They have special client login panels, and a special webhostmanager for really doing server administration - features of the panels are almost unsurpassed, I love them.
Then there's Webmin ... for the real sysadmin good to use, but I don't like using it - too much "odd" features and too few real handy things in it.
Many hosts I know have been firing up their own control panels recently ... and honestly, I think within a year or so hardly any dedicated server will come without a CP.
Just my $0.02 - can i buy a cpanel for that?

VDI's control panel (cpanel.net) is the best.
And if you want to manage your server, http://www.webmin.com is the BEST for that![]()
