Question don't know whats going on here

    Hi,

have been trying to get this layout to work www.idezign.me.uk/test/index_tables2a.htm but when i style the menu on the left it does this www.idezign.me.uk/test/index_tables2.htm

I cannot figure out why it shoves the content table miles to the right and why the login box bleeds.

I originally built it without tables but it wouldn't display across browsers and i am on a tight deadline so i have given up on that idea, maybe later.

any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Looks like you are missing a TaBLE TAG (in bold). See if thats what is causing your grief. I can't test the code right now

    Hi,
Try adding the uri to the doctype.
    e.g.
    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
I think you'll find that that will sort the problem out. (Without the uri IE6 works in quirks mode.)

    Paul
