Has anyone done a page loading for any HTML/ASP page using a javascript or something else?

I have link on my web page once clicked loads a huge web page running to many pages, I want to put simple message while the page is actually loading.. something like..

"one moment .. page is loading"

    any help would be appreciated.

I think you could do this with Javascript and CSS.

You could create a layer on top of everything that contains "Loading", and a javascript that waits for a set time (or maybe until a pageloaded variable becomes true - not sure if you can do this) then hide that layer.

The layer though, would have to cover the entire page, height of 100%, width of 100% - not sure how easy this is.

okay. great. I get the approach much close to what I had guessed.

Does anyone has a code snippet of the same?
