    directory tree

Hey all. I'd like to have a script where I could fill up a menu dynamically (with PHP) that contains the tree structure; That includes all files and directories.
Each listing would have either a few radio buttons next to it,
    or a checkbox.
I was wondering if you guys could suggest some places to look for a solution to this?
It'll probably have to be custom, at least to some degree.
I was checking out the X and CBE libraries and they look really slick.
If I use one of those which one should I start with?

    Hi Ed,

Thanks. I reccommend X to start with. But it sounds like this is a PHP issue?

Well, I guess the PHP will just be feeding the javascript the data it needs to work with(the directory/file paths).
PHP traverses the directory tree and generates the JS dynamically to create the tree menu.

I'll check out X and see what I can get going.

    thanks,

I guess something like this is more or less what I'm looking for:

    http://www.treeview.net/treeviewfile...Frameless.html

Except the menu will take up the main part of the page and each node
will have a checkbox or some radio buttons next to it.

I just need to find one that's easily hackable since I need to feed the JS the data from PHP.

Haven't looked at the code for that one yet. It may do.

Yeah, it looks pretty cool. They have some examples of stuff similar to what I want to do here:
    http://www.webfilebrowser.com/ .
Except I don't need the ability to actually browse the files, just the names.
And apparently you can add your own html between the icon and the "link" for each node, so I can probably put my radio buttons there.
I'm gonna have to download it and check it out.
