    Mozilla crapping up images

I used this article at Sitepoint to do some picture gallery design:
    http://www.sitepoint.com/article/1195

Here it shows how to use GD to create tempory thumbnail images. Why is it that in Mozilla my thumbnails look smudged and don't seem to using more than 256 RGB colors but will display normal pictures fine?

    from the article:
For example, versions of GD before 2.x.x can support the creation of images with up to 256 colors only.
Could that be it? Failing that, show us your page, or we're just guessing.

My version on my local server is 2.0.12, or at least that is what phpinfo() tells me.

Actually, now that I look at it, I never use the GD functions to make a thumbnail on the fly. I simply just set the width and height to predetermined thumbnail width and heights. I am using the code from page 4 of the article to figure out the heights.
