    Thumbs down Change password script,,,problems..

    I've been building a members system for my site for some time now, and I today I added a page where users can edit user info, including changing their password.

    The problem is that when they change their password or email address(which is actually their login ID) They automatically get logged out.

    Any ideas on why this might be happening?

    I think it has to do with sessions reading the ID and password and making sure their are logged in, but I can't pin point it.

    Thanks.

    your probably right. Try resetting your session variable or cookie.

    You should probably set a new cookie or session with the new information in place of the old so that when the check is run, the information is correct.

    On the part of the script that handles the submission; ie Your putting the new details back to the database once the INPUTs have been validated you need to then reset the SESSIONs you have.

    Though I don't use COOKIEs so can't help you out there;
