    text wrap problem: IE vs NN?

    I'm new at css and having a problem wrapping text around an image inside a table. I've had some help straightening out the css (was missing a few semicolons) but IE6 still does not wrap the text while NN7 does just fine.

    Can somebody point out the problem for me? Thanks!! - Kirk

    Below is the code snippet for the html as well as the full css text:

    ------------begin html snippet------------
    <tr>
    <td width="100px" class="img_text"><img class="left" src="images/jpgs/he_pict_SMALL.jpg" width="100" height="90">Dr. Qingfang He, Assistant Professor, is our Department's newest faculty member. His research topics include Molecular Genetics of Cyanobacteria and Plants, Photosynthesis, and Applied Phycology.
    </td>
    <td colspan="2">&nbsp;asdf
    </td>
    <td>&nbsp;asdf
    </td>
    </tr>
    ------------end html snippet--------------

    ------------begin css---------------------
    img.left {
    float: left;
    margin: 0.2em;
    }

    .img_text {
    font-family: "sans-serif", "Times New Roman";
    font-size: 12px;
    background-color: #CCCCCC;
    color:#000000;
    border: none;
    margin-right: 10px;
    }
    ------------end css----------------------

    Hi,

    I see from above that you have set the td width to 100px and that the image is also 100px wide. The text will have no where to wrap as the image will fill the whole width of the table. The only place the text can go is underneath.

    Increase your table width to allow the text to flow.

    Hope that helps.

    Paul

    I suppose I read too much into NN working OK instead of checking my code. Boy do I feel stupid. Thanks so much, I really appreciate the help!
