You could still access it if you tried, by forcing the HTTP Referrer header being sent to the server (again via cURL or similar).

We should really stop posting in this thread. It was funny though.

While I agree that it's really ludicrous to try to hide HTML/Javascript, there are ways for it to be made mostly unreadable by human eyes. For example, you can use PHP to output every bit of text between tags as HTML entities, or turning every variable in your javascript into the same 10 digit name (or more, if needed), but with different case for each one. However, not only will this lose visitors, as was earlier stated, but it makes the code an absolute nightmare to maintain. Not to mention that, no matter what kind of obfuscation techniques you can dream up, people like me (and a whole lot of other folks here, too) can still get your code.

Dave.
But like someone already said, if you want to hide your HTMl then you probably haven't got anything worth showing anyway.
And now: Let this thread die in peace!

That's what patents are for...
If you really had some amazing piece of javascript and or html that you just can't afford to leak out to the world (I doubt this very much) you would patent the algorithm or technique and comment this fact in your code. Just out of curiosity, does anyone here hold any patents of interest? Have you ever had to defend them?

God, I cannot imagine how much time is wasted on the stupid process of protecting HTML content.
