    Is there any way I can put a regular video I recorded on my video camera onto the Internet? I would really like to put this on my site, and if there is a way how can I make it a smaller file size? BTW, it is still on the little tape that goes into the camera it is not on a big VHS tape. Wish I could get a digital video camera but those are thousands of dollars.

    It's funny you should ask this question because only this morning I was demonstrating to my students how to use a video camera. In essence, using a normal camera is the same prinicple. Your biggest hurdle of course is capturing the video images from your video camera onto your PC. You need a video capture card to do this and they are not cheap. If you are going to think you will use one on a regular basis then it is worth investing as much money as you can to get a decent one.

    Once you get it set up it is a matter of plugging your camera into the back of the card, playing your video on your video camera, and recording it on your computer using appropppriate software such as Adobe Premiere.
