    help with layout

    I'm having trouble getting a css tag from a style sheet to take effect. I'm a beginner, so I'm sure it's something obvious but I just don't get it. It deals with an image and some text I'd like to wrap around it. I'm in DW4 and it looks OK in the wysiwyg pane but preview in browser (IE6, NN7) acts as if there is no "img_text" class even though it does float the image.

    Below is the code snippet that I think is giving the problem (the full files are attached, he.txt --> he.html and appsci.txt --> appsci.css if you'd like to see that instead):

    <tr>
    <td width="100px" class="img_text"><img class="left" src="images/jpgs/he_pict_SMALL.jpg" width="100" height="90">
    Dr. Qingfang He, Assistant Professor, is our Department's newest faculty member.His research topics include Molecular Genetics of Cyanobacteria and Plants, Photosynthesis, and Applied Phycology.
    </td>
    <td colspan="2">&nbsp;asdf blah blah blah
    </td>
    <td>&nbsp;asdf more of the same
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr class="menu">
    <td colspan="4">&nbsp;asdfasdfasdfasdfasdfasdf
    </td>
    </tr>

    and here is my style sheet code:

    img.left {
    float: left;
    margin: 0.25em;
    }
    .img_text {
    font-size: 10px
    background-color: #CCCCCC;
    color:#000000
    border: none;
    text-align: left;
    margin-right: 10px;
    }

    Hi,

    I can see from your code that you've missed 2 of these out ; (semi colans) from here :
    font-size: 10px
    &
    color:#000000

    They should be:
    font-size: 10px;
    color:#000000;

    That will be enough to mess your layout up.

    Hope that helps.

    Paul
