    The local TV station predicted blizzard conditions here in Toledo, Ohio. But it looks like quite a sunny morning so far ..... amidst the bitter cold temperature.

    Whereas in the UK we are looking at one of the warmest Decembers on record, and in Manchester it's the usual wind and rain (it wouldn't be Manchester if it didn't rain all the time.)

    Sheffield is just as bad as Manachester, we get loads of wind, plenty of rain (Not as much as Manchester but it's enough).

    Creole - You wore shorts to work in 35F?!? I'm hoping you meant 35C!

    Would someone that remembers it post the formula for translating F to C and vice versa? It is something I can never seem to remember and I have no idea if 15C is jacketless weather or full parka and gloves weather.

    F to C
    C = ((F - 32) * 5) / 9

    C to F
    F = ((C * 9) / 5) + 32

    So 15C is 59F, which isn't to bad. It's about 12C over here during the day at the moment.

    Edit:

    Ouch!

    I broke down and bought a snowblower today. I hated to spend the money (about $600 US), but after two hours of shoveling yesterday, I was pretty sore. And then only to find the plows had gone through in the night and i now had a foot and a half of ice-encrusted snow at the end of my driveway. I just couldn't take it.

    Wayne, didn't you say there was one or two openings in California

    Lots of openings here.. We have been running about 15 degrees (Fahrenheit) colder than normal here though. It has been ranging from 50 degrees to 65 degrees for the high.

    I've noticed the same thing. And last night it sprikled. What the ___ was up with that? My car! It's not clean anymore! (But it doesn't look like it's going to rain anymore.) I guess I'll go wash it right now. Be right back. (I'm not joking.)
