New user IE 5 problems

Recently bought Dan's excellent book on CSS and have been looking through the code samples that are available for download.

I have tried looking at the example Footbag Freaks in IE 5.0 for Win and cannot seem to get the page to render properly. I had understood that the CSS code was usable on these older versions.

Is this a problem with my browser or is the code not quite up to the task?
