    image center align

    link

    Here's the problem my #mainlogo is center in ie, and it's not center in moz or opera.

    I have the CSS and XHTML validated but for some reason my links and rollover doesn't seem to work in opera 7.03, can anyone else verify this?

    Hi,

    To centre your logo you will need to also use margin-left:auto and margin-right:auto,

    e.g.
    Code:
    #mainlogo, #mainlogo span {
     height: 69px;
     width: 355px;
     background-image: url("http://www.d.umn.edu/~vuxx0062/images/MainBanner.gif");
     background-repeat: no-repeat;
    margin-right:auto;
    margin-left:auto;
    }
    The text-align:center in your parent div was centering the div for IE because of its mis-interpretation of the rules (it should only have centred the text and not the following element).

    Hi,

    To get your rollovers to work in OPera 7 try adding this.
    Code:
    #navcontainer a {z-index:100}
    I think that should work.

    old stuff link.

    If you look at the old stuff link, it's working in opera. Yet the new version doesn't. Paul i added the z index it made no difference in opera.

    Hi,

    Sorry, I forgot to mention that you need to add position:relative to give it a stacking context as Opera7 is placing it underneath.
    Code:
    #navcontainer a
    {
    position:relative;
    etc.....
    I have it working locally with no problems. (sorry)

    image rollover problem in IE. If i go over the top left logo it change, but at the bottom it also cut off half of my link. Like something is also trigger by the roll over. Only apply in IE.

    Hi,

    Try this:
    Code:
    #footer p{ font-size: 0.55em; position:relative;}
