    Unhappy Section 508?

    Hello,

I'm confused by this whole Section 508 thing here in the US... is it mandatory that you comply with it, or is it like writing valid code: you should, but you don't have to?

All gov't and gov't-contracted sites have to comply, I think. They seem to be having trouble now, but http://www.section508.gov/ is a good place to start looking into it. Don't forget about SitePoint's forum dedicated to Accessibility and Usability. :-)
