    hi dethfire

the moving merchandise is a neat idea. a question, can that be configed so that lets say, we have x units to sell and when they are gone, new item comes up in the old location on the carosel?

    Back Ed, DOWN!!!!

    Good text to bg contrast.
in the body tag, the marginheight, marginwidth are unknown attributes.
in the table tag, the vspace, hspace are unknown attributes.

<img src="lap1.jpg" border=0"> should possibly be with "0" There are 5 occurances of this.

The alt= and accesskey= are not used on any handicapped access items.

Nice page and thanks. And a special thanks for the reviews.

    peace

I like the choice of colors and fonts. The style of the logo seems professional and business-like with one exception: The logo and other graphics are in a JPEG format. JPEGs are intended for photos whereas GIFs are intended for text and clipart. The JPEG leaves a roughness to the edges and creates artifacts. What graphic tool are you using?

One other critique is the size is a bit wide. I am viewing at 800x600 and a lot of the site is outside of this. Most viewers use 800x600 or smaller (about 75% last I heard).

I really like the scrolling items idea, but your logo to the left appears blurry in my AOL Internet Explorer 5.5 browser (because they compress images). I would try to fix this, since millions of surfers use AOL's browser. Good luck with your site!

Liked the look and feel. I don't know how easy this would be to address, but all the Jpeg's and Gif's (style bars and such) are a slightly different color background than the layout background. Is it possible to specify the color for each in the HTML code to be exactly the same? I also would concur that the width is slightly wider than desirable for 800x600 resolution that I use both at home on a 17 inch monitor and at work on my laptop. Hope this helps. I feel a bit silly critiquing such a good site otherwise.

I agree that the graphics are a little fuzzy. What graphics program are you using? Are you using a custom color palette? The graphics may turn out a little clearer if you use a custom color palette.

The search text box is a little too far away from the text that says search. Maybe you could box the two text boxes so that viewers know what each one is for without having to search for the text description.

Also, make sure you change the links on todays features so that they don't point to CNN. This could get overlooked while working on the other areas of the site.

Load time was fast on my computer but I'm using a T3 line at work. Your table alignment is good, with no wasted space on the right in my 1024 x 768 screen resolution.

Another reminder to add alt tags to your graphics.

Overall it looks good, but you need another color. The greenish/white to the left is good, but it needs something else. Maybe even just changing the link colors might do it. And as everyone else mentioned the graphics are a little rough, but that can be fixed. Overall a good job.

The first thing I would change is make it so that the bar at the top with "Mall" and other stuff in it goes all the way across the screen. Use tables rather than layers and if you are going to overlap text on a photo, don't use CSS to hover because it takes chunks out of the picture of the laptop. I would also add in one bright colour to go with the others. That's it and I think it looks pretty good!

Nice color contrast, which has been said plenty of time.

Also I would like to mention that the interface buttons would probably look better with the same color background as the banner or the banner having the same bg color as the interface, either or.

Looks great though, keep up the great work!

Todays featured items, how about a vertical scroll? Or perhaps a slimer width and fade-out & -in?
