    javascript debugging

i shall start this topic with my usual disclaimer, i am not a programmer, so i need all the help i can get.

i used the javascript mentioned on glish.com and tried to make it work with my website. I used a different layout than the one on glish.com though (which incidentally, was also taken from a tutorials site :P ) and so the javascript doesn't seem to be working as it should.

if you view the example, you'll see that the background color changes slowly. on my page though, it loads a random color for the background but it stays static. when i open it up in IE, i get a javascript error, it says
    Code:
    Line: 145
    Char: 2
    Error: Object expected
    Code:0
    URL:http://inababes.neominds.net/filipinoblogs/index.html
if that's any help. my slightly edited javascript file is here.

    any suggestions?

For future reference, mozilla comes with a javascript debugger built in. There's a learning curve like the north face of the eiger if you've never used a full-blown programming debugger before, though. Moz's JS Console tends to be more useful than IE's error reports, too.

oh, thanks for the info. is the debugger on the Mozilla suite only or also on Firebird? or perhaps there's an extension of the javascript debugger?
