Most annoying use of css used? Your opinion

I am just curious about this. When viewing other peoples websites that may have css enabled, what is one of the annoyances you often find.

For me, its when people don't have the same link declarations specified the same for all the pseudo classes. Like if I hover over a link, the text changes, the font changes, and it appears to bounce around.

    Simply annoying in my opinion.

    What is your annoyance?

P.S. And NO, you can't use my question and say this post is annoying, thats not allowed!

The one you mentioned would be my biggy. Highlighting divs on hover when there is no "action" associated with them is beginning to bug me a little too...

You mean like instead of having a link set to display:block, its just the link. so even though you hover and there is a color change, unless you click the actual link, nothing happens

I think he meant like if you hover over something and it changes color, you expect to be able to click it, or that the mouseover did something, when in fact it didn't. I know I find this to be extremely annoying.

    Post My Thoughts

    Hello,

Aye. I personally think that things should only "light up" if they can be pressed or clicked and have some sort of action or effect associated with them. It's sort of like how things in your car only light up when you shove them if they can be pushed or have an action associated with them. Otherwise we'd all be driving spotlights, not cars.

As for links... if the font changes or they get bold, that's just plain aggravating. A simple color change is all that little link needs to get my attention... no need the throw fireworks all over the screen.
