    Another Marquee tag question...

    I'm trying to create a marquee scroll that will have links to advertisers at the top of my homepage.

    Here's the tag I'm using right now -

    Code:
     <MARQUEE WIDTH=100% BEHAVIOR=scroll scrollamount=4 loop=infinite>
    My question is - Is there anyway to make the text loop in such a way that there is always text there? When the text shows up on the second time (and after that) I want it to be "stuck" to the end of the previous display. I don't want an empty space between each display of the text.

    Hope I'm making myself clear. I looked up all the marquee tag properties and couldn't find anything that does that [img]images/smilies/frown.gif[/img]

    Even if I am alergic to the "Marquee" Tag, because this violates web sites accessibility, if I understood you question, I guess you would need to use a bit JavaScript!

    Good luck.

    Thank you for the link!

    I'm not a big fan of scrolling either - but our advertisers have asked for this and are paying for it. I guess they will lose some of the potential customers, those with disablities that prevent them from viewing the scroll text properly. I have a dyslexic brother and sister so I know first hand how hard reading can be and if it was just me I wouldn't add to the difficulty. As all that will be missed is a line with advertisers names and links, I hope users with disablities can still enjoy the rest of the site content.
