well i'm having a bit of a brainstorm...

i would like to try out one of those web portals (www.phpnuke.org) and some phorums (www.phorum.org) and have a much around installing them in my linux box.

the thing is my site is hosted by a friend and the server runs postgresql, not mysql...

i hardly know a thing about either, what i do know is that both nukephp and phorum need mysql. what do i do next?
would they work with postgresql? do i need to install something else?

please help me with this mess
    tia.

I believe the documentation of phorum will show you how to.
Download and read it would help you see what you need to change/do.
