    math and science equations

The college system where I work is beginning the training of instructors for creating and updating web pages for accessibility. We are reviewing and searching ideas for the presentation of math and science equations on web pages. One idea I have so far is to have a graphic that shows an equation with a description underneath it or using a Long Description in conjunction with a graphic.

What other methods or ideas do you suggest?

    Thanks,

    James
Everything is going as planned...now where is that ball of twine.

    You should investigate MathML.

Mozilla and Netscape 7 claim to support it natively (though you may need to install special fonts) and the W3C reckons there are plugins for IE5.5+

I'll have to agree with all that's said so far and go for MathML.

I also believe that you must go for MathML.
It is a web standard! Or?
