PHP and excel...?

I've looked oever the manual, but I must have missed it.
What can you do with with Excel and php? Seem like I've seen talk about using them together or as far as importing exporting? Or maybe some one can point me to the right spot in the manual?

Look under ODBC and COM objects. Those are the only way you can use Excel with PHP. COM objects will only work on NT machines as well.

Since I am on a unix box, I would guess ODBC is my only choice..
