    CSS list navigation and other questions

    ok, i'm tweaking some of the stuff in my current layout, take a look at it here:

    http://inababes.neominds.net/test.html

    take note of the navigation bar, and look at it in IE and in Firebird or Opera.

    first question: which one looks better?

    second question: how can i get them both to look the same way?

    one more thing, any idea why the top white square doesn't align with the blue one?

    oh, and any other design suggestions and criticisms are very welcome.
    and let me know if you want just the code of the offending portions.

    Sorry, but such suggestions will be removed. They are only appropriate in the "Reviews" section of the site, subject to meeting the guidelines.

    The rest of the request is fine though

    okay then. do you want me to edit out that part of my post? am not sure what i'm supposed to be doing here (n00b alert!).
    Off Topic:

    i was actually thinking of submitting my site for review, but i thought the CSS bugs and stuff should be fixed first.

    i tried messing around with the header part. this is the css:
    Code:
    #header {
    	width: 95%;}
    #bannertop {
    	top: 0px;
    	left: 0px;}
    #bannerbottom {
    	top: 150px;
    	left: 0px;}
    #bannertop a.top {
          display: block;
          width: 100%;
          height: 150px;
          padding: 0;
          margin: 0;
          background: white url(skins/bluecat/topbluecat.jpg) left top no-repeat;
          text-indent: -100em;
     }
    #bannerbottom a.bottom {
          display: block;
          width: 100%;
          height: 150px;
          padding: 0;
          margin: 0;
          background: #64B5E5 url(skins/bluecat/bottombluecat.jpg) left top no-repeat;
          text-indent: -100em; }
    and then my html is
    Code:
    <div id="header">
    <div id="bannertop">
    <a href="index.html" class="top"><MTBlogName></a>
    </div>
    <div id="bannerbottom">
    <a href="index.html" class="bottom"><MTBlogDescription></a>
    </div>
    </div>
    if i unnest the first div, then the top box is the same size as the second. but i was hoping to keep both top and bottom divs within the same header div so it would be more flexible for me when skinning.

    also, let me know any input you may have on fixing that nav bar (will post the css later if anyone needs to see it).
