    Sure. Why not? As long as the URL you are using allows remote linking. In other words, if someone links to an image on one of my sites and I have not authorized it, I consider it theft of bandwidth.

    Having said that, all you need to do is use the actual URL of where the image is located in your img src=

    Code:
    <img src="http://www.thedomain.com/theimageyouwant.jpg">

    They can... but with Perl scripts. I've seen it done once before, though. I believe HotScripts.com may have something or you'll have to consult custom scripting.

    Did I misunderstand the problem? I understood that he wanted the background image for a table to reside at a different URL than the one where the table is located. If that was indeed the issue, then YES, it can be done. The bit of code I used would have been for a cell background, with the table background being slightly different, but doable none the less.

    This code would put the image in a table:

    Code:
    <table border="1" background="http://www.thedomain.com/theimageyouwant.jpg">
        <tr>
            <td width="341">
                <p>&nbsp;</p>
            </td>
            <td width="341">
                <p>&nbsp;</p>
            </td>
    </table>
    If I have misunderstood the issue then disregard everything I said.

    Edit: I re-read the question and if it is 'can I create a hyperlink to another URL from my table's background image' then I too would have to say it can't be done without a lot of effort. But then, my question would be why would you want to?

    LOL ... I would have to second that notion, 'Why would you?'
