    Start of a Service Website

I am going to publish a service website within a month and need to figure out what to include on the index page.

    So far I have is:

    1. Client Login
    2. Navigation (links to subpages)
    3. Google Searchbox (would it look professional?)
    4. Announcements (Date with new updates)
    5. Few Images (4 small images)
    Client Login

I am stuck at the content. Should I just write about what services I provide on the index page?
I wanted to some part of "About Us" content on the index but not sure.
I want to make it look as professional as possible.

    Am I missing anything?

I would suggest including plans and pricing of whatever service you are providing. Make it clear what your site offers as far as services go.

    What exactly are you offering?

Your idnex page should include a little of everything.

Then, you should have a nav menu displaynig links like "Purchase" or "Pricing" etc...

    CPInteract,

Your entire site, or at least just the home page, should have been entirely planned out before you even began coding.

It would certainly help knowing the type of service you are offering. If you have a local community service you'll need differnet information than running a site for gamers. know what I mean?

If you are providing a paid service, why would you want to send users away by having them search from your site? If they are lost and trying to find something, they know google's URL..
