Thumbs up Viewlet - Nice application for animated demos

Hi guys! I don't know if you're already familiar with this application...It's called Viewlet Builder. It basically captures your desktop activity and creates animated demo, where you can add sound files and notes. The final output is a Flash file. It's good for software and application demos.

However it is not free...but fortunately for me, my company paid for it. Check it out at http://www.qarbon.com. It's something that you might want to invest on. I already created 2 sales demo for my company and it's worth it! cha-ching!

The first one that I was asked to make is 757KB which is about 4:00mins long. The second one was more of a web application demo and it is 3.5MB and runs for about 18:00 mins. But since it is a streaming data, it does not take too long to wait for it to load.

The huge .swf files is the only feature that I don't like about it. It's a nice alternative to a Powerpoint Presentation.

I actually didn't think it was that big? For a full screen capture w/ animation, tooltips, sounds... 4 minutes @ 750kb? I made a 30 second flash @ 500kb... lol.

This is really nice software. I have spent the last few weeks doing two very detailed software demos with Viewlet Builder. It's expensive, but I think it far outdoes RoboDemo, Camtasia and any of the rest of the competition.
