    Online Photo Album Software

    Hi, I am looking to start up a website for families, whereby each family will log on, enter a password and be able to view their family photos. I found some software on www.xaraonline.com that optimizes the photos for me and also organizes them, but am unable to purchase the software outright. I am therefore looking for an alternate program that would accomplish this, that I can own. Does anyone know of such a program? Thank you in advance for any help.

    thanks very much for your help! I am going to attempt to use the gallery from the first link you provided. In the event that it doesn't work for me though, if anyone has any others please post here as well.

    Gallery is a nice script, and easy to install - especially if you have shell access
    Good Luck with it

    A recent Sitepoint article illustrates how to build your own gallery using PHP. Perhaps you'd like to try that? That is, of course, if you have PHP support on your server.

    Here is the article.

    Hope that helps, and good luck!

    I like Gallery, but I've also used PhotoPost PHP when I needed to integrate the system with a userbase/community.

    although i havent tried it, i do like the look of this gallery script from martin consulting online. there are two different demo versions available, depending on what link you click.

    echo($aspen);

    PhotoPost might have some features that would be easier to integrate with a site where every user is managing their own set of galleries.
