Rating script on sitepoint

This is for the advisors.

Does the rating script on sitepoint use PHP and MySQL? If so, was it specifically written for sitepoint or is it available to download?

I'd quite like a similar script on my site.

Almost everything on SitePoint uses PHP and MySQL. As far as I know the ratings script is proprietary but you can ask Mark directly.

This reminds me of something similar I've been wondering about for awhile - what happens to those ratings? I don't see them anywhere really.

Also, I went to one of my own articles on SP and used the "Send Feeback" feature as a bit of a joke, IE "Great Article Chris!" - do those go to me at some point, or are they for SP mainly?

The ratings now show at the end of each article. Comments are currently for internal use only, but that will change in time. Ratings and comments will be used to rank each article and provide new features in the future.

Ah, I see. I was thinking it would be cool that when you list the articles in their category/sub-category, it'd be useful to have them ordered from the highest rated to the lowest - I might try something like that on my sites in the future.
