I think I am just a snob when it comes to cars but Minis and Nissans are NOT cool!

And the cars in The Fast and the Furious made me laugh, especially when they were doing like 170k and they were like "wow this is sooo fast".

Noooo - Ixnay on the domestic rice!! You've already messed your car up enough by putting a spoiler on it, I'd have to hunt you down personally for hurting that car any more.

Yea they were rice, but I'm pretty sure (unless you did the conversions) the speedos read in miles . Nonetheless it was pretty funny in 2Fast when the guy was going 90mph in reverse.

There are like 6 kinds of cool.

    1. Formula 1 Car cool (Real Racing! )
    2. McLaren F1 cool (Exotics)
    3. Classic Race Car cool (Read: Original Shelby AC Cobra)
    4. Perfectly Restored 1974 Honda Civic cool D)
    5. 1960's Muscle Car cool
    6. 1982 Reliant with a 426 Hemi converted to RWD cool

I think all of those are cool, there are a couple others, like the new Lingenfelter 427 Corvette TT, but it's all in the eye of the beholder.

(On that note: F&F = FUNNY! haha)

I rode around in a Lingenfelter that a friend of mine had (he and his dad sell exotic/classic cars so this is pretty common to him). It was one of the scariest rides of my life, but really fun

They're abused by the ricer community, but they are still inexpensive cars with good gas mileage which is good for everybody. They take a beating too; my last car was a 1996 Civic and I put 130,000 miles on it in 4 years. It still didn't give me trouble then, but I felt the need to get a new car .

    Edit:

I should also state my bias now: I don't like SUVs. Something about wasting a ton of gas to take your children to soccer practice really gets my goat.

I drive my cousin's 2003 Range Rover on weekends. It's basically mine, but I just didn't buy it. However, I did buy the rims for it - 24" Oasis LP Spinners. The gas mileage is horrible, but it's a nice looking and luxurious ride.

I currently drive a 98 Dodge Stratus. Its a nice car, it gets normally 30 mpg. The only bad part is I have to share it with my mom until she buys a new car which should be within the next 5 months.

Ok Nicky, whats your top 5?

p.s. I hear what you're saying about F&F it was ridiculous - but kinda fun. The nicest car I have seen recently at work is a Benz SL55 but at around 90,000 just out of my price range a little...

I think little compact 4-cyclinder imports with 3 foot high useless spoilers are funny. They look like boxes with wings.

What I drive but mine has some really boss chrome tube like step-ups on the side. I think I may have to get a mini-van now though, my 3 sons barely fit in the back seat.

Defining my top 5 is hard and also subject to chage depending on my whims. However, for now (in no particular order):
    ~ Porsche Boxster
    ~ Landrover Freelander
    ~ Vauxhall Astra SRi/GSi
    ~ Golf GTI MK4
    ~ MG Midget

Of course there's the Mclaren Roadcar as well.

Yes, I have a very rich friend who has one, I know I know they are not comfy but I just really like their striding look, and I LOVE climbing into a car to get in.

Is this list "The top 5 cars I drove so far", "The top 5 cars I will be able to buy", or "The top 5 dream cars, that i would buy if i had an unlimited amount of money". If what you mean is closer to the 3rd, then your list is VERY modest.

Ah okay, just wondering. After driving one, the Freelander really doesn't feel anything like a traditional Landrover. I was fairly disappointed with it But I agree, I really like driving anything that gives you that big comanding feeling while driving
