    Hi,

I was just surfing these forums and then suddnly a error message came up saying "Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.". It wasn't even like a usualy error message, it was nice and colurfull and everything. Is microsoft suddenly getting polite? The wierd thing is that this is the first time this has popped up and I havn't updated my browser since IE5.5 first cam out. Has anyone else ever got this before. It certainly beats the old "Iexplorer.xex has perfomrmed an illegal operation......."

Do you think it is possible it could be a virus. This is meant partly as a joke, but it should be a serious consideration

I'm pretty sure I saw it before, but don't remember how to get it again
Maybe it's based on a random generator, with probability 0.00000001

    Hi,

I updated my virus checkers (yes I have two ) last night and ran a check just in case but it didn't find anything so I have just hopping Microsoft has got some manners and it isn't a virus.

Microsoft changed it's error messages for Internet Explorer. now it has different 'error boxes' for Internet Explorer and Windows. The new ones of IE5.5 (whic you will rareely see though) don't have like this red warning sign and weird data, no it just asks you to close down the window the error accured in.

Very, very psychological ~ I have a instant flash when I almost come close to actually feeling the need to apologize back to Microsoft!

Then my system completely crashes, I rememember MS made Windows and I wake up ~

But I have to admit that it is a very good touch...
