    Tutorials to flash/actionscript?

Hey, Are there any good introductory tutorials to flash/actionscript? I just got it and I want to get started right away. I am an experienced PHP/MYSQL programmer.

You obviously come from a programming background, I assume that you are looking to explore the possibilities of Flash MX as a GUI frontend.

When I started learning Flash 5 I bought a bunch of books. But I haven't found one that has EVERYTHING I'd like to learn. Anyways, check out Instant Macromedia Flash 5 by Caldewelll and Wan. It's pretty good. Has a lot of ActionScript and you can use it w/Flash MX also. Another good book for beginners is Flash Studio Secrets by Thomas. But this one is pretty basic. It'll get you started though. All of these are pretty cheap since they work w/Flash 5, but it's the same thing (5 and MX), very few differences.

The Friends of Ed series of books are very good. Check them out at www.friendsofed.com. Also check out actionscript.com and actionscript.org.

    I'd definitely recommend actionscript.org
