Well, at the moment I am helping someone - out of the goodness of my heart - retrofit a whole website to W3C Level Triple-A Conformance and yes, it does fall down own to manual human judgment to some degree.
It is good to simulate situations like using the keybord only and using a greyscale browser, I am doing the latter right now with images turned off.







. Lynx is actually a good testbed, as it will give you some idea of what your site would look like on a handheld/mobile browser.
