Nice one - lovely colours. I've always liked stained glass in any form.

I've just come across this one I took a year or so ago. It's the wing of a Tiger Moth bi-plane.

Cheek! We're much more modern than that - two flights a day to Glasgow with a Saab 340, and several flights a week to Oban with something rather smaller (I can't find the make/model anywhere).

    I have some images

When you said upload all the images you want, big mistake. but here goes. I have never sold a print but have been a serious photographer since the 70's.
I had an external hard rive crash and lost many images, devastating but this is what I have. Some are NYC and others are walking through parks.
I always look for some geometry when shooting. Some simple some noisy and complex.

I had a couple days free in NYC and came up with many great shots, all I focus on is geometry. Bugs plant etc.. can be cool. (you should not have said to upload as may as you want).
I only entered one comp before and got photo of the day. I take my photography seriously and hope you enjoy them.

I will upload some hdr images, disqualify them if they don't meet standards but they do fit geometric

Sorry about the double uploads and sorry about the flood of images.
I see geometrics in everything and could not decide on what was the best.
I saw the contest and this is my first.
    Hope you enjoy.

do photos have to be in orig resolution (in my case 300dpi) or do we reduce them to 72dpi?

have to reduce my photos anyway, since in my camera they come out very large (about 3800px across....)

getting ready to post now... it's not too late is it? I suppose it's till Feb 28, midnight?

    thank you...

Just reduce them as per the guidelines (post #2):
    IMAGE SIZE
I completely forgot to add this. Submissions should be no larger than 1,000 pixels wide or tall. Anything larger would just take too long to load. Recommended size is about 700 - 900 pixels. That would be large enough for us to see clearly, but not too large that it slows down the download.

    guidelines don't mention dpi (resolution....;-)

but ok.. thank you.. will post in a bit.... (since your concern is with loading times, and since I assume you won't be printing the photos, I will reduce to 72dpi..)

    thank you....

I think that is because you added it as "attached" rather than 'inline'.

BTW: I like your entries. They follow the theme extremely well. It appears you live (or have spent a significant amount of time) in Jersey City, New Jersey!!

    Hey everyone!

Just checking in, I know you haven't heard from us in awhile.

We are just through narrowing down the entries to the best eleven. We're going to split hairs to get them down further to the top eight then our panel will vote on the final winners.

    More soon!

Results to be announced on the 21st.

Also, I was going through old photographs today and found another good one to share in this thread:

    "Squares"

    squares_shaun-of-the-dead.jpg

It was a photograph of my cat, Photon, made in 2011 for a photography contest on another web forum I'm on (the topic was 'Squares').

I covered a table with a black cloth, cut a square frame out of cardboard and stuck it onto the front, then sat my cat down (for about three seconds before he decided to bugger off). Enough time to make the image though.

The little squares in the background are Christmas tree lights; I stuck a piece of black paper with a square-shaped aperture onto my lens. And I cropped the final image into a square too, because it just seemed appropriate.

    Very, very creative approach!
