when a forum is not recommended?

    Hello,

I would like to know your point of view of what types of sites should NOT include a forum.

I know the case of the online shops. they don't include forums.

but there is ebay that includes the community pages.

    Any other ideas?

What sites should not include a forum?

Well...a forum can be a great marketing tool. But any forum seeking long-term success needs good marketing. Perhaps any site that doesn't care about forums in the first place should avoid them.

You should avoid forums if you feel that the member base will fill up quicky, nothing looks worse then an empty forum.

I don't know if there are specific types of sites that should avoid forums, but you should definately avoid it if you're not willing to work with it... Because there is a lot of time-consuming work...
