Know of a fast, free and invisible counter?

I currently use "the counter" which is great when it is loading fast. But I've grown tired of the times when it take 30+ seconds for it to load or it doesn't load at all.

I know there is no such thing as a free lunch bout I would like an invisible counter that I can count on. I really like features such as search engine refers and a few basics stats on my visitors.

Any recommendations?

Site Meter (www.sitemeter.com) has all of the features you are talking about. I use it myself and have had a very good experience.

To make it transparent choose the text style of counter, then just select transparent as the foreground and background colours.

i agree i use sitemeter.com and have found it to be excellent. It provides an excellent reporting tool giving you info on:referers, search queries, time zones, sytems and much more.

Same here: http://www.SiteMeter.com. The pie charts/bar graphs are incredible. I can't get over how fabulous the service is. It's rarely down, and I've only had to email support ONCE in the 2+ years I've used them - and I got a reply back in 15 minutes!
