    Joomla vs Wordpress

    Good evening.
I would like your opinion about CMS for a news portal.
I have much experience with Joomla and not so much experience with Wordpress.
    What's your suggestion?

Because you asked. WordPress. It is time to kill Joomla. There are so many other options out there. You can look into Craft CMS or Expressionengine as well.

Both CMS are good but if you want to use many options through various addons, thne joomla will do.. Wordpress is not bad but has limited options compared to what you could do with joomla.. but when updating content wordpress backend is easier to use than joomla's backend ... Also try drupal ( i do not like it much but who knows, you might prefer it... =) )

I used them both. I highly recommend Wordpress, easier to use and so many more options. One negative point, be careful with hackers installing malware on your website. Make sue your Wordpress version is always up to date.

I would also prefer Wordpress over Joomla. WordPress is more SEO friendly than Joomla. WordPress has the largest themes and plugins available online.
