    Applet or JSP

Java has introduced Servlet, JSP. I think applet is obsolete now. But still i read many posts related with java applets. Is Java applet still existing in the real world or it has been replaced? If it still exists than what is the advantages here to use over JSP?

Applets have pretty much vanished, yes. Partly because it was replaced by flash, and partly because of all the rampant security issues over the past year or two.
