Proper way to set up a form?

I was wondering what the best way to set up a form would be in CSS. Is it better to use tables since it is structured data or div/span tags?

Ugh, that's a tricky one. There correct answer as far as W3C are concerned would be DIVs... it's not tabulated data. That's what I voted for. That said, I'd usually use a table for ease, though I didn't on the last site I did.

You can also do this, if having your label and field on the same line isn't too important:
    HTML Code:
    <p><label for="firstname">First Name:</label><br />
    <input type="text" name="firstname" id="firstname" /></p>
Otherwise, go with the method described at http://www.alistapart.com/stories/practicalcss/ .
