Apple Safari cookie problem ... anyone know if it's been fixed.

I ran across a problem with a beta version of Apple's Safari problem when I was using cookies and sessions in a PHP script. I assumed this would be fixed, however, I was speaking with someone who said they were unable to do internet banking with the new Safari 1.0. If cookies/sessions/etc are still screwed up then does anyone know of a fix for this problem? I can't find anything at Apple's website.

    Off Topic:

I don't know, but it sounds like a cheetah attacked it while it was on its safari.

Here's the short version: the Netscape cookie spec says when a cookie comes from a URL like "http://www.foo.com/user.php" and no path is explicitly specified, then the path should default to "/user.php". However, it actually needs to default to "/", because that's what all real browsers do.
There you go. Explicitly name your path and you're good to go.

Thanks for the lowdown. Kinda makes you wonder though why Apple wouldn't just fix this themselves don't ya think?

Well, it's not exactly a bug... they were following the Netscape spec to the letter. But yeah, I generally agree with you, I've been inconvenienced by that a few times.
