    center tag and absolute positioning

I have a popup menu that is absolutely positioned with css. All my other content is in html in a table which is centered on my page. The problem is that the center tag makes the page kinda liquid. If you adjust the browser window or change screen resolution the page moves around, but the menu stays the same and becomes out of place. Any ways of dealing with this?

Best way to do it is to use more CSS. If you insist on using the table, put it in a separate div and apply a float:right to it and a float:left to the nav. Make them both position:relative. See how that does you.

BTW, the <center> tag has been deprecated for a long time now.
