Here is an Internet related pet peeve of mine.

When I fill out HTML Forms I tend to use the keyboard exclusively. This means I use TAB, and type in my selections normally. Well my Pet Peeve is that some companies put the entire list of world nations in alphabetical order except the United States. They tend to put that on top. This is just wrong. It screws up my flow and makes me reach for the mouse. Usually I just TAB into the field, type U and use the arrow keys to manuever.

I agree with you about the TAB key! I do the same thing

My Internet Pet Peeve is the sites (even professional business ones) who deny you the use of your BACK button to go back to the site you originally came from. Whether by redirection or some blocking javascript, they won't let you off their site, and you just watch their site continuously load on your screen while you pound the mouse button to get back to whatever site you were at.

I hate when you accidently (yes, I mean accidently!) access a porn site, and a zillion porn popup windows open...

And color schemes that make you go blind, like bright blue text on a hot pink background.

I have plenty of peevse, but this one stands out above all.

'This site requires Flash. Without Flash you can't view the site.'

There are times I don't want to view a site in Flash, and I expect that I can still see the site in some other way.

I hate when that happens at school. It's funny because I think I'm especially prone to doing that, because it happens almost every time I'm in the computer lab. (REMEMBER - ON ACCIDENT). I've had times where I just unplug IMac because there's no hope of getting the windows gone before someone sees it.

What I hate (which isn't really the internet, but more IE) is how when, for example, I'm checking me email and I click on a link in my web email thing, and it opens a new window, then I click on another link, and instead of opening a new window, it loads the page in the window that had just opened. I guess it's sorta nice sometimes, but I don't like it.

JRS385: Rather than pressing Apple-W repeatedly, you could press Apple-Q to quit the browser or if all else fails Apple-Option-Escape to Force Quit the app. And then there is always the Apple-Option-Power restart command and the reset button on the side of the iMac. Unplugging an iMac is like murder to the poor things - it hurts the hardware and messes up the hardware too.

The redirecting porn site with thousands of popups has got to be my all time'r. Nearly kills the computer and prevents me from doing whatever it was that I was trying to do. I'd have to disagree about accidentally though, I am aware of what I am doing, just that the **** porn webmasters seem to tie seemingly normal sites to their sites, and one click and you are flargoned. Only happened twice, but once recently, and it took over a minute to gain control back. I hate porn webmasters. I'd like to do a site that opens 60 pop ups and send it to *them*.

One killer example of that was when I (at work) decided to show a colleague a really good software archive at http://www.hotfiles.com - I typed it in an accidentally left off the 's'. My colleague - a 42 year old female lecturer was not impressed and frankly, nor was I!

Especially seeing as it crashed NS4, which is what I was using then.

My Internet pet peeve is when a site your at repeatedly opens an ad-window every time you visit a page within the site. And sometime when you close that it opens another, and another, and another.

In addition to this, I have another pet peeve. I hate it when sites resize your browser windows, and even lock them in a fixed position. I hate that...

My pet peeve is reading forums where all people do is whine.
There are a lot of things i hate on the net. I propose to do something about it, or maybe just write about it.
Banner ads and pop ups- there should be a way (special tag?) to tell banners and ads apart from other images, so you can disable them (the ads).
Also your browser should be able to tell you the requirements (bandwith, plug-ins) for the site.
If you visit a site and it has a terrible background, or something. You should be able to disable it, just for the one site.
Being not able to do (with a click of one button) these things is a major pet peeve.

I hate it when people dont spell things right. A few mistakes are tolerable. But i have seen spelling mistakes on images that are used for the entire navgation of sites. Ive even seen errors in logos.

LOL! You post has four spelling errors and grammar/usage mistakes.

I had a spelling error in my logo. I don't know what I was smoking, because I knew how to spell the word, and it was wrong for months. Thankfully, somebody pointed it out.

Seriously, when i write my stuff up i dont think about grammar. I basically use the grammar that i use on IMs.

When i do my real writing it almost never has a spelling mistake unless its a typo.

Stupid people. I can't stand people who have ****** geocities sites and go around saying "y0 d00D cH3ck 0u7
    /\/\y 1337 s!73 y0!!!!!!!@@!@!!1111"

NOTE: Not all geocities sites are ****, I have found some very informative geocities sites, there just very rare.

Also, for some reason pressing a submit button on a cgi script lags my comp heaps, probaly because my computers slow (will change very soon...).

Actually there is ad blocking software. I can block ads with my firewall software including popups. Browsers like Neoplanet give you exact control over which pages are allowed to open new windows and which don't.

    Why are my posts edited? All I said was 'c * * p' ...
